At TTS Industrial Solutions Pvt. Ltd., tensile testing is performed to evaluate the strength, ductility, elongation and deformation behavior of materials under controlled tensile loading conditions. Testing can be conducted from -196°C to +1600°C, depending on the material, test method, specimen configuration, and specific testing requirements.

The test specimen is securely mounted between the grips of a Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and subjected to a gradually increasing tensile force at a controlled speed. The testing system continuously measures load and elongation while the specimen stretches, recording accurate test data throughout the process and generating a stress-strain curve for detailed material evaluation.

The test results are used to determine important mechanical properties such as yield strength, ultimate tensile strength (UTS) , tensile strength, percentage elongation, reduction in area, and modulus of elasticity . Testing continues until the specimen reaches fracture or failure, after which the fractured specimen can be examined to determine elongation, reduction in cross-sectional area, and other relevant failure characteristics.

Tensile testing at TTS Industrial Solutions Pvt. Ltd. can be performed in accordance with applicable ASTM and ISO standards, including ASTM E8/E8M, ASTM E21, ASTM E111, ASTM A370, ASTM D638, ISO 6892-1, ISO 6892-2, and ISO 527-1/2 . The applicable standard and test parameters are selected according to the material, application, customer specification, temperature, and testing requirements to ensure reliable and consistent results .
